Job Summary

**TELECOMMUTER ROLE FOR TX, OK, NM, MT and IL**
**WORK HOURS ARE 8:30 AM TO 6:30 PM, AND WILL BE EXPECTED TO WORK SOME WEEKENDS**


This position is responsible for supervising non-clinical staff managing non-clinical functions in support of designated Behavioral Health clinical teams including BH UM, BH OP & ABA, BH CM, and BH Appeals. This role is responsible for ensuring all items are processed in a manner that meets all quality standards, regulatory mandates, accreditation standards, and departmental policies and procedures. Assist in developing policies, procedures, standards, metrics, and reporting for the Behavioral Health Clinical Operations Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of college and 3 years’ experience coordinating clinical records OR Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience coordinating clinical records OR 4 years of experience processing Managed Care/Appeals/Utilization Review.
  • Knowledge of Medical and Behavioral Health terminology. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of state and Federal Guidelines and Regulations.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to interface with internal and external customers, including but not limited to representatives from Department of Insurance and government agencies in a rapport-developing manner.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to oversee and motivate employees, interface across the divisions or across the enterprise, and represent the company to members, facilities, and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Experience working across departments to resolve issues.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Analytical skills to review clinical data including report creation experience.
  • PC proficiency in Excel and Word. Medical database experience.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*People management experience including Hiring, Performance Reviews, and Budget.

The Compensation/Salary offered for this Position will vary depending on Job-related skills, education, knowledge and experience. This role aligns with an Annual Performance Incentive (Bonus) plan.

Base Pay Range

$53,500.00 - $118,100.00
