Line Lead - Disassembly

Its core competences are the development, production, distribution and servicing of diesel, gas and electric drivetrains for professional applications that is used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and other applications.
Job Summary
Our Line Lead will be responsible for all stages of disassembled engine components cleaning and engine disassembly while providing exceptional support to staff and area supervisors. The Line Lead will liaise with supervisors, parts assessment technicians and lead, managers, process engineers, maintenance technicians, and our EHS Manager. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership and self-motivated skills with the ability to train, direct, and provide guidance to team members. They must have a mechanical aptitude and be knowledgeable with engine parts and hand power tools. The line lead must have the ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a candidate who can build great relationships with peers, supervisors, and crew members while representing the DEUTZ brand with excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Line Lead be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Oversees and performs preparation of engine components for cleaning and teardown.

Direct activities of the various cleaning processes and disassembly, float, and fill-in for absent employees, as needed.

Oversees and ensures that all processes including safety are being followed and the line flow is balanced accordingly.

Oversees all cleaning stations, inspection, crankshaft# identification, and entry in SAP.

Oversees block and head cleaning station, ultrasonic cleaning station, inspection, part# identification, and entry in SAP.

Check engines for completeness of teardown processes- Need to be a good steward of the core to maximize the components recovered and minimize damage.

Need to be vigilant with a goal to maximize the components recovered and minimize damage during cleaning, handling, and transportation.

Provide technical support to staff, including tools, materials, and training.

Train and develop new employees using the DEUTZ onboarding process.

Monitor new employees to ensure that they maintain Deutz standards for safety, quality, and productivity. Monitor and retrain as necessary. Be able to provide feedback on employee performance.

Support cross training of employees.

Update and maintain training records as required.

Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)

Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Individual Contributor
Travel Demands: Anticipated local and/or international travel is approximately 0-10%, depending on business needs.
