The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Division of Geriatric & Palliative Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the Inpatient setting. This position is located at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and Froedtert West Bend Hospital. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.

Will assist in the coordination of care for patients seen by the Community Health Division Palliative Care Consultation Service in the Inpatient setting
Schedule:
Part-time, .5 fte
One week on, One week off. M-F, 8 am - 4:30 pm
No weekends or on-call required

Qualifications:
Preferred Experience:
Previous inpatient, acute care, & critical care PA, NP, or RN experience strongly preferred
Minimum Education:
Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
Minimum Requirements:
Advanced Practice Nurse/ Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
Wisconsin RN License
Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
Certification Requirements:
BLS
Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP), Adult Care NP, or Geriatric NP highly preferred
Will consider certification as Acute Care NP and/or Family Practice NP
Additional Certification in hospice/palliative care or oncology nursing strongly preferred
Physician Assistant
Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
