About the role

Position Overview

 

Maintain updated and accurate reporting of all Inventory. Oversee day-to-day operations for inventory management, reporting and inefficiencies. Work with the plants to oversee slow moving inventory, stock counts and physical inventory.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as a key member of the Supply Chain Team with strong SAP understanding across inventory flows.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiative to resolve recurring process issues.
  • Complete cycle counts at two sites, Buffalo Road and Chester Street; issue weekly trend reports.
  • Ensure accuracy for rework, process orders, and inventory adjustments.
  • Deliver senior management inventory reporting and escalate risks.
  • Audit inbound deliveries and outbound shipments for physical and administrative accuracy.
  • Review and audit all inter-company SAP transfers.
  • Prepare weekly KPI reporting, highlighting inventory risks.
  • Support Finance and customer audits, including mock recalls, with clear documentation.
  • Support and participate in annual physical inventory.
  • Oversee excess and obsolete inventory management.
  • Accountable for ensuring inventory records are accurate, including part numbers, quantities, locations, labeling, and approved packaging.  Oversee the refresh of ABC codes, manages the cycle count program, monitors results daily, and drives or coordinates corrective actions to eliminate root causes of inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain FEFO material flow and ensure timely staging for production.
  • Develop and maintain the SOP for the consolidated inventory reconciliation process.
  • Adapt reconciliation processes as business needs evolve.
  • Support workflow time studies and operational improvements
  • Identify and lead or support productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate proactive communication, accountability, and problem solving.
  • Miscellaneous projects assigned by the management team.
  • Experience in CIP processes/lean manufacturing a plus.
  • Forklift experience/Warehousing experience a plus.

 

  Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

 

  • Preferrable associate’s degree; but High School and solid Supply Chain experience, advancement in Inventory Control welcomed.
  • Minimum 5 years of Inventory Experience
  • Microsoft Outlook, Supply Chain, Extensive SAP and knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
  • Familiarity with BOM structures and how SAP transactions impact components.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP inventory transactions (MB 51, MB52, MD04, MIGO)
  •  Strong understanding of inventory accuracy principles, cycle counting, reconciliation, and FEFO/lot control.
  • Exposure to warehouse processes such as receiving, putaway, picking, and shipping.
  • Ability to provide wellorganized backup documentation and explain findings clearly.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and propose/lead improvements.
