Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team with a strong emphasis on Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Project Management. The role will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and successful completion of capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, project management, and technical skills. The Engineering Manager will report to the Senior Director, Global Engineering.

Leadership and Team Management

Conduct performance appraisals, set goals, and align objectives with departmental and organizational goals.
Capex Management
Develop and manage the capital expenditure budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial constraints.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize capital projects, preparing detailed business cases and justifications for approval.
Oversee the full lifecycle of capital projects, from concept and feasibility through design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Support and manage AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) approvals, capex tracking and process facilitation.
Budgeting and Financial Management
Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Track expenditures, implement cost control measures, and support financial audits.
Provide monthly and quarterly Capex/project updates and presentations to local and corporate teams.
Project Management and Technical Oversight
Detail reviews and support to engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Utilize project management methodologies and tools to track progress, manage risks, and communicate status to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution.
Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, maintenance, finance, procurement, EHS) and external engineering firms and contractors.
Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into projects and processes.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and team performance.
Prepare and present regular reports on project status, financial performance, and engineering activities to senior management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field). Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent is a plus.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in engineering with hands-on project experience in manufacturing environment, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in managing capital expenditure projects and project management.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
