Summary of Job Duties:

The Graduate Assistant for SIL position oversees the A6/SIL welcome desk, coordinates the resource room, and assists with special projects. The GA will develop knowledge and skills in these major areas of responsibility: program coordination, student advising, budgeting, student staff supervision, and assessment. The Graduate Assistant role is one that contributes significantly to the overall operation of SIL. The graduate assistant will be co-supervised by the SIL Director and the SIL Office Manager.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and enrollment in the Graduate College at the University of Arkansas

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in student activities, leadership, student organizations, marketing and event coordination as an undergraduate student
