General Function: 

 

Serves as a senior leader in the Division of Student Success, providing strategic oversight of student support services, including Financial Aid, Admissions and Records, the Dean of Students Office, and success technologies. Leads initiatives to enhance student retention, achievement, and engagement through data-informed strategies, technology integration, and cross-campus collaboration. Ensures alignment with institutional goals and compliance with federal, state, and accrediting standards while promoting a student-centered, inclusive environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

 

Master’s degree earned from a regionally accredited institution with seven years of leadership experience in Student Affairs. Including experience with the successful implementation and management of student success technologies.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of management and supervisory experience in higher education including leadership roles in one or more student service areas such as financial aid, admissions, student records, student engagement and retention, student success coaching, career services, or mentoring and leading institution-wide student initiatives or services.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and assist with policy formation for assigned units including the development and implementation of effective Student Success programs and services that are responsive to student, service area, and college needs. Ensure SACSCOC, TBR, MSCC, and THEC policy compliance within assigned units.
  • Provide leadership for various student services, including, admissions, financial aid, and student engagement by collaborating with the Executive Director of Financial Aid, Office of Admissions and Records, Dean of Students Office, and Career Services to ensure that appropriate student services are provided to all students.
  • Assists the EVP of Student Success with implementation and coordination of college-wide retention initiatives.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for student services and success technologies aligned with the Student Success Division and institution's mission and goals. Evaluate, select, and implement innovative technologies to enhance student success, retention, and overall satisfaction. Oversee the development and maintenance of student success platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the institution and its diverse student population. Assists in maintaining DegreeWorks, CPOS, SLATE, BANNER, EAB Navigate and other case management technologies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate student services initiatives into the overall organizational strategy.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess student success metrics and identify areas for improvement and generate reports and recommendations based on data analysis to inform decision-making. Engage with students to gather feedback and data to continuously improve services.
  • Responsible for fostering a respectful and collaborative work environment while supervising the day-to-day operations of assigned areas and units.
  • Coordinate Student Success efforts for identified student populations including but not limited to adult learners, veterans, or first generation.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, staff, and college administration to ensure the seamless integration of student services and success technologies, and to coordinate institution-wide student success initiatives.
  • Serves on various campus committees
