What does a Security Guard for the RCMP do?

• Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property • Point of contact with authorities and emergency services • Monitor detainees • Complete administrative functions • Conduct preventive surveillance rounds

Qualifications to become a Security Guard for the RCMP

Available to work flexible hours (days, evenings, nights, weekdays, weekends) • Policing or corrections background or 3+ years as a high-profile security officer • Permanent Canadian resident for a minimum of 5 years. • Have a clear criminal background • Be eligible to work in Canada • Bilingual is an asset (as needed per location)

Scope of Work

Gardaworld is looking to hire highly qualified and experienced security officers to complete the work of Detention Guard Services located in various locations across Nova Scotia. Support services are required in order to increase the capacity of our clients officers and members resources, achieve effective service delivery, and enable our client to focus on its primary mandate. Security personnel must meet or exceed all of the minimum requirements specified in the hiring requirements. The staffing requirements are based on clients needs.
