Position Title: Director of Field Operations Department: Clinical Operations Reports To: Vice President of Operations FLSA: Exempt Position Summary: The Director of Field Operations is responsible for the strategic oversight and management of clinical operations across assigned markets. This role includes supervising Clinical Managers, collaborating with the Sales Team, and ensuring customer service excellence. The Director is accountable for driving business health through key performance indicators (KPIs) and supporting business growth within the assigned regions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Provide direct supervision and day-to-day management of Clinical Managers across 6-8 regions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Step in as Clinical Manager when necessary, maintaining operational continuity.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations, identify professional development opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance team performance.
- Oversee case coverage, ensuring clinical competence and operational efficiency within the team.
- Review and analyze monthly KPIs with the Vice President of Operations, identifying and implementing improvements to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to maintain high levels of customer service, manage key accounts, and identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Support the growth and integration of teams in emerging markets within the territory.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including surgeons, operating room staff, and internal teams, through consistent presence and communication.
- Facilitate regular visits to each region to promote team cohesion, morale, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of accounts, ensuring successful implementation and ongoing client satisfaction.
- Provide regular updates on KPIs, staffing, and business development opportunities to senior management.
- Attend and contribute to quarterly business meetings, sharing insights and strategies for continued growth and improvement.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements: Education Licenses/Certifications:- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline required.
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) required.
- Clinical expertise in intraoperative monitoring.
- 1-2 years of management experience, with 5 or more years as an IOM clinician.
- Exceptional organizational skills for managing a geographically dispersed team.
- Proficiency in business metrics and MS Office suite programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and drive business process development.
