Job Description

Summary:

The Skills Transformation Senior Manager is a new role that will focus on helping ServiceNow transform to a skills-based human capital approach to better enable it to effectively understand the skills needed to drive workforce planning, effective hiring, and up-skilling and re-skilling of the company’s existing workforce.

Specifically, this role will help in building a data foundation and data governance to harness the power of technology and show the value of skills-based approach by enabling our employees to develop their careers at the company via dynamic skills-based career pathing, personalized learning journeys, and a talent marketplace. Partnering with teams across the organization including HR, Enablement, Technology and Product (as Customer 0), this role will support all aspects of the program and overall strategy by establishing a center of excellence around skills taxonomy, ontology, talent architecture, job to skill and proficiency mapping, as well as employee skills profile. This role will work closely with the Technology team on technical requirements and technology integrations relating to the implementation of skills intelligence at ServiceNow.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Provide recommendations on program scope, processes, objectives, KPIs, and prioritization in relation to data
  • Create detailed business processes and data governance within the skills ecosystem, in partnership with HR, Enablement, Technology and Product teams.
  • Act as the “go to” person for questions and issues related to skills taxonomy, ontology, talent architecture aligned to skills and proficiency data
  • Explain skills clearly to others (not only “how”, but also “why”)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in skill-based products.
  • Deep understanding of the skills ecosystem – skills inventory, talent architecture,
  • Demonstrated success with delivering strategic, global, cross-functional, programs, including planning, scheduling, monitoring and stakeholder reporting with multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. 
  • Experience with analytics and understanding of support metrics and KPIs.  
  • Facilitation skills in leading and planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active listening skills to ensure feedback drives new initiatives and identifies areas of improvement. 
  • Ability to learn quickly and pick up tools, systems, and processes in a short amount of time. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment. 
  • Lead by example to enable quicker decisions, energizing others by clarifying purpose / why, and stop projects without escalation and willingness to work hands-on to deliver impactful outcomes. 
  • Commitment to producing high-quality, cutting-edge deliverables.
