Who We Need

We are seeking a Development Director with a passion and expertise for an immediate and valuable impact. We’re picturing someone who has a track record and passion for developing and launching AAA games and can oversee execution and technical integration from a publishing-to-studio development perspective. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Publishing and Game Team leadership to execute the strategies, processes, and capabilities that enable us to bring our games to life. Engaging with a wide range of disciplines and subject matter experts, you'll play a key role in influencing feature development, product publishing, and important cross-team partnerships. This is an end-to-end ownership role, defining and executing short term tactics while pushing for long term Improvements.

The ideal candidate for this position will be highly collaborative, approachable, knowledgeable of the external development landscape, and passionate about forging lasting relationships that allow us to make outstanding games.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Publishing & Studio leadership to build and execute a strategy for co-development, as well as assess and report on progress against defined success metrics/business goals.
  • Own the outcome - No matter the complexity or challenges, ensuring that our products launch and operate successfully. Meeting the daily needs of coordinating our team’s work are the basics. Delivering new features and services to end users and seeing complex features through the complete integration cycles with other teams are the fun parts.
  • Own the schedule - Partner with discipline leads to determine time and people necessary to see work through to completion. Build and maintain schedules and roadmaps considering dependencies across multiple streams to ensure successful launches.
  • Communicate - Provide transparency on project status and risks to stakeholders in order to ensure they are properly informed of any impacts from upcoming releases. Communicate frequently with all stakeholders for status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Focus on Users – Be an active customer advocate and ensure live issues affecting end users are being followed up on and resolved.
  • Work across the publishing organization to drive accountability for shaping and maintaining product goals and dates.
  • Executive relationship management with studio leads, publishing, and all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Help manage game related documentation and notes. Keep pages up to date with the latest information and communicate changes to the team
  • Mitigate risks and take ownership of any unforeseen events as they arise
  • Foster our development culture which provides continuous feedback, support, and empowerment.
  • Combat inertia, be a force to keep moving things forward.
  • Evaluate and iterate to improve development processes.

What You Need

  • Deep understanding of game development, software development process, and project management practices.
  • Experience driving a AAA game/s through the full development cycle.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude; Strong preference to applicants with developm
