Senior Hardware Engineer - Gas Measurement Devices (f/m/x)

Key Responsibilities 🎯

• Develop cutting-edge gas measurement devices and auxiliary tools to reduce greenhouse gases in the oil and gas industry.
• Own and drive product features end-to-end.
• Design, test, and implement electric circuits and embedded firmware.
• Build and troubleshoot prototypes.
• Plan projects, analyze requirements, and source critical components.
• Create technical documentation and provide support for production partners.
• Engage directly with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to align technical and business needs.
• Collaborate with external certification partners to achieve CE, ATEX, EMC, and other required certifications.
• Act as a sparring partner, mentor junior engineers.
• Actively contribute to shaping team processes and fostering a positive work culture.
• Support Master’s thesis students as an industry partner.

Requirements

Skills & experience you will need 💪

• Proven track record of delivering industrial electronic products from idea to production.
• Strong proficiency in embedded firmware development.
• Expertise in electric circuit design, PCB layout, and debugging hardware and firmware issues.
• Hands-on experience building and testing prototypes.
• Ability to drive product features autonomously end-to-end.
• First experience in leadership or mentoring roles.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

• Experience in CAD design and 3D modeling.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for testing or data analysis.
• Knowledge of gas measurement devices, particularly for methane or hydrogen.
• Hands-on experience with production processes and conducting EMC or other external certifications.
