Job Summary:
Provides technical support to control system projects and service teams. Listens, takes direction, and seeks guidance from the assigned project leads, supervisors, and company leadership. Travel to client locations for installations, maintenance, or repairs of control systems.
Education and Experience:
- Associate in Applied Science or Associate in Science in Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems Technology, relevant curriculum or experience.
- Typically, 0-3 years of industry experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Assist in project installation, start-up and commissioning of control systems.
- Perform instrument loop checks and calibrations.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
- Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Wire instruments and control panels.
- Develop basic understanding of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications.
- Develop startup and troubleshooting skills with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.

- Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
- Practice procedures outlined in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Accurately document work performed.
- Develop basic understanding of control system design.
- Develop basic understanding of electrical and mechanical system design.
- Develop basic understanding of Information Technology (IT) system, network infrastructure, and computer system design, as it relates to control system integration.

- Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead.
