Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.
As the Manager, Quality Assurance & Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring the facilities product meets both Caterpillar’s and external customers specifications.
Additional Information:
- Location: Brunswick, GA (United States)
- This position will be based out of our vendor facility in Brunswick, GA and not at a specific Caterpillar manufacturing or logistics location.
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
- Required Travel: Up to 15% (Domestic)

What You Will Do:
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Supports the development and execution of quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines, and control plans which assure quality and reliability of manufactured products.
- Implement Quality Control and Assurance with Caterpillar 3PL, based on Caterpillar Product Group provided standard work and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) checklists.
- Assure PDI and standard work is up to date.
- Tracks KPI performance related to quality.
- Product Inspection
- Conducts audits to verify adherence to the process.
- Identifying and sharing information on non-conformance and trends in a timely manner.
- Work with HEME/source facility.
- Handles rework requests and follow up.
- Update required systems/tools in place to track/monitor quality/quality reworks.
- Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
- Track root cause corrective action (RCCA) to address recurring issues.
- Analyze Caterpillar dealer complaints (DPU) if attributed to an EPC process caused defect.
- Leading the development and implementation of corrective action and preventative measures to achieve quality targets.
- Cross-functional collaboration through governance and reporting
- Collaborate with source facility/HEME on process improvements.
- Single point of contact for 3PL.
- Daily check points/meetings with 3PL counterpart.
- Host monthly quality review meeting with appointed Product Group SPOC and/or source facility Quality team.
- Leading, and developing multiple teams to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Developing and reviewing reports to review to solve quality issues.
- Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
- Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Quality Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for Quality Risk Management; ability to implement the quality assurance process of assessment, control, communication, and review of risks to the quality of products.
- Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.
