About the role:

Gartner is looking for passionate and motivated Software Engineers who are excited to foray into new technologies and help build / maintain data driven, scalable, and secure applications and tools, for supporting the product delivery organization  at Gartner. Our Software Engineering teams are high velocity agile teams responsible for developing and maintaining components crucial to customer-facing channels, reporting & analysis. These components include but are not limited to web applications, microservices, DevOps pipelines, batch jobs  and data streams etc.. 

What you will do:

• Develop and evolve performance-critical, multithreaded applications that focus on increasing client engagement to Gartner's content.

• Develop high-quality, efficient, and well-documented Java applications with comprehensive JUnit test coverage.

• Develop modular front-end interfaces and features by converting design mockups, prioritizing Gartner’s brand consistency and design integrity.

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including QA, designers, and product owners, to guarantee application meets requirements and is delivered successfully.

• Perform and participate in code reviews, peer review and technical design/specifications.

What you will need:

• University degree in Bachelor of Engineering or a Master’s degree in CS.

• Proven Experience in Full Stack Developer or similar role 

• In-depth understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, the DOM and understanding of building reusable components and front-end libraries

• Preferred Experience with one or more JS Frameworks like React or NextJS.

• Design and develop multithreaded applications using Java . Experience with frameworks like Spring (SpringBoot, Spring Core, Spring Batch) or Hibernate. 

• Knowledge of database systems and SQL (postgres , MySql) 

• Familiarity with testing frameworks, such as JUnit and Mockito.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and versioning tool like git

• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, is a plus.

• Experience with message queues, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, is a plus. 

• Python experience is a plus

• Strong Interest in growing own technical skills
