As a member of a rapidly evolving engineering organization, the Senior Machine Learning Engineer will need to be able to cross functions easily and collaborate with other highly effective individuals, including members of the C-suite.</p> <p>This is a challenging engineering role that offers a great opportunity to grow with Aetion and make a difference by ​​helping expand the use of Aetion's products.</p> <p><span><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Use a variety of machine learning methods to solve healthcare-related problems using cloud-based technologies.</li> <li>Transform innovative AI prototypes into production-ready solutions through rigorous engineering practices.</li> <li>Work cross functionally with engineers to integrate AI/ML features into our applications.</li> <li>Work alongside science and product to identify and solve high-value machine learning use-cases.</li> <li>Maintain and monitor existing AI/ML functionality.</li> <li>Research topics in machine learning and AI to stay up-to-date on emerging trends in the field.</li> </ul> <p><span><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: </strong></span></p> <p><strong>Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>A BSc/MSc/PhD degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, data science, computer science, statistics, electrical engineering, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering or a related STEM field.</li> <li>6+ years of relevant work experience.</li> <li>Expert in Python programming for full data science lifecycle (ETL, data exploration, cleaning/pre-processing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring). Tech stack: SQL, Scikit-learn, Numpy, Pandas, Pytorch, Transformers. </li> <li>Experience with LLMs: prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning. </li> <li>Highly analytical, problem-solving mindset with a demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and independently solving ill-defined problems on data from heterogeneous sources.</li> <li>Interested in partn
