Description of Work

The Food Service Assistant will serve primarily as a Ware Washer in the main kitchen, ensuring that all cooking and dining items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to maintain food safety. Responsibilities include general cleaning duties and supporting food service operations, such as serving meals on a tray line. The role requires adherence to established sanitation and food handling procedures. The Food Service Assistant - Ware Washer must also meet productivity standards while completing tasks efficiently. In some cases, this position may serve as a Lead Worker, overseeing other staff involved in basic food service activities.

The working hours for the Food Service Assistant - Ware Washer will be 10:00am-7:00pm with rotating weekends off.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $31,200.00 – $48,810.00

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs )/Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

• Ability to learn cleaning and food service procedures;

• Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time;

• Ability to maintain high standards of personal cleanliness and food sanitation;

• Ability to maintain effective working relationships;

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions as well as the ability to keep routine records.

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Work Hours: 10:00am to 7:00pm (every other weekend off)
