Role Overview

As a Full Stack Senior/Staff Software Engineer at Gather, you will be a pivotal part of our software development process, bringing ideas to life and transforming the way people interact with their data. You will be responsible for developing both front-end and back-end components of our application, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and user-friendly. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, AI/ML Engineers, and Data Scientists, you will contribute to shaping the future of our app.

Please note that Gather maintains a 5-days a week in-office working environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging, from front-end to back-end

• Collaborate with the product team to design software solutions, understand user needs, and translate them into technical requirements

• Work with AI/ML Engineers to leverage AI capabilities within our software solutions

• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that is easy to maintain and test

• Debug applications, provide fix and improve the performance of existing software

• Review, analyze, and provide feedback on peers' code to ensure quality

• Stay informed on emerging technologies and propose ways to apply them to the current codebase

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 4-6 years of experience in software development, with expertise in full-stack development

• Proficiency in modern front-end and back-end programming languages, such as JavaScript (React), Node.js, Python, or Java

• Solid understanding of modern web development technologies and principles, such as responsive design and RESTful API's

• Experience with data management and ETL processes

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, and experience incorporating AI/ML capabilities into software

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in software systems

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• A team player with a passion for building user-friendly software and an emphasis on quality and performance
