RN Clinical Educator - Duval County High School Program, PRN

The RN Clinical Educator works collaboratively with an Nursing Education Specialist (NES) partner or under the direction of the Nursing Education Manager to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities through a systems model for Department of Nursing staff including orientation, continuing education, and competency programs. Roles of the RN Clinical Educator include learning facilitator, change agent, leader, advocate for Nursing Professional Development (NPD) specialty and partner for practice transitions.

For internal candidates, this is a Job 2 position and current employees job 1 position must be .6 FTE or less (including PRN).

For external candidates, this position is PRN/Supplemental. 

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, masters preferred. Minimum of two years of nursing practice experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) competency. 

Additional Qualifications:

Preceptor experience preferred. Demonstrated teaching skills. Ability to be self-directed. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills. Demonstrated ability to role model and teach professional nursing practice. Computer skills. 

License and Certification:

Current RN license by applicable state requirements. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency. Positions that are not on campus may not require current Basic Life Support (BLS) competency as determined by the work area. 

Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
