CBI-Equipment Operator Light

Job Overview:

The Light Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of smaller, highly maneuverable construction equipment, typically under $50, used for site support, trenching, cleaning, and utility work.
 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Operate compact excavators, skid steers (Bobcats), walk-behind trenchers, rollers, and small dump trucks
• Assist the civil crew with site preparation, minor excavation, utility trenching, and backfilling
• Load and transport small loads of soil, gravel, and debris around the site
• Ensure all equipment is clean, maintained, and safely parked at the end of the shift
   

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Minimum 1 year of industrial construction/maintenance experience
• Must have a valid Driver's License (DL)
• Proven ability to operate at least three different types of light equipment safely and effectively

• Experience operating attachments such as hydraulic hammers, augers, or pavement breakers
