White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Central Utility Plant Supervisor for Facilities who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Central Utility Plant Supervisor, you will:
• Stay up to date on all regulatory standards and routinely inspect facilities and hospital systems to maintain safe, energy efficient operations compliant with OSHA, AHCA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards 5%
• Responsible for day-to-day team management, to include hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, team coaching and professional development, team education on code standards and procedures, conflict resolution, policy administration, and disciplinary action 20%
• Prioritize, coordinate, and delegate work to the plant team via work orders to ensure consistently reliable and safe services 20%
• Establish and administer a Preventive Maintenance Program for all equipment and systems to ensure uninterrupted functionality of utility services, emergency power generation, buildings (interior and exterior), and mechanical and electrical systems 20%
• Provide daily direction, oversight and communication with outside vendors providing construction, repair, and maintenance services to achieve optimal results 10%
Ensure adherence to the department budget through proper scheduling and staffing, review of all invoices and purchasing orders, and review of all contractor/vendor payment requests 5%
• Meet with the plant staff monthly and discuss new development, updates on projects, incident reports, safety issues, and other issues relating to plant operation and maintenance 10%
• Direct the Quality Assurance and Safety Management Programs for the plant staff 5%
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
• High school diploma or GED required Bachelor of Science degree in relevant field (i.e. Engineering, Construction Management, etc.) preferred Successful completion of an accredited trade school or apprenticeship program preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in MEP disciplines and as a Stationary Engineer for a commercial Central Utility Plant Experience in building automations systems Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System
• At least three years of Facilities supervisory experience required
• Valid US driver’s license required Valid State of Maryland 1st Class Stationary Engineer license required Current certification in at least two of the following required: · EPA Section 608 Universal Certification,
• ASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environmental Worker · Certification Medical Gas ASSE 6040 · Other Certifications accepted on a case-by-case basis Must be able to successfully complete the ASHE Healthcare Physical Environment Worker within the first six months of employment
• Maryland 1st Class Stationary Engineer

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, with on-call potential

Pay Range:

$30.53 - $44.27

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Non-Exempt)
