Job Summary
The Production Specialist manages and supports all production related activities.
Job Location
This role will be based out of the plant in Pocasset, MA.
Job Responsibilities
Production & Inventory Planning
- Perform day-to-day scheduling and inventory control activities for assigned multiple custom formulation sites across the U.S.
- Maintain and analyze key planning metrics, including lead times, minimum order quantities, safety stock levels, and in-transit/on-hand inventory.
- ERP inventory entry, ensuring all receipts, production postings and transfer reflect accurate quantities, lot details and costs.
- Identify operational risks, escalate issues appropriately, and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain uninterrupted supply.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure full adherence to EOSi’s Quality Management (QMS), including quality control, inventory procedures and customer formulation protocols.
- Participate in on-site vendor audits to evaluate compliance and strength supplier performance and relationships.
- Support innovative approaches to managing non-conforming raw materials or production interruptions.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships across multiple industries.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Quality Control and Sales teams to ensure alignment through the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Manage and report departmental and vendor KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Continuously refine existing operational procedures and develop new documentation to streamline processing and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and distribute weekly inventory reports summarizing raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), bulk and packaged product levels across all formulation partners.
- Compile monthly inventory counts reports for evaluation against ERP inventory levels, reconciling inventory discrepancies with vendors, supply chain and sales.
Job Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in production planning, operations, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, team-oriented approach.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Experience with ERP or business management software (e.g., Epicor) is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 15%.
