Position Details:

We are looking for a Vendor and Software Asset Manager who will manage all aspects of software asset management. You will ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, optimize software usage, reduce costs, and mitigate risks associated with software licensing.

 

You will report into Director of IT vendor Management.

 

Pay:

This position is salaried and will pay between $98430.00 - $150960.00 with a target bonus of 15%

The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to: a candidate's experience, qualifications, geographical area, and internal equity of the team.

 

You Will:

  • Develop and implement software asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets including licenses, contracts, and usage data.
  • Monitor software license compliance and ensure adherence to licensing agreements.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and reconcile discrepancies in software licenses and usage.
  • Collaborate with IT, procurement, and finance departments to optimize software procurement, deployment, and usage.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation through software license optimization.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on software asset management practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to software asset management.

 

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience software asset management or a related field.
  • Understanding of software licensing models, agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with software asset management systems: SNOW Software, ServiceNow Software Asset Management, & IBM License Metric Tool.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or Certified Software Asset Management Professional (CSAMP) certification.
