Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s North American Security & Emergency Management Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Project Manager, Physical Security Technology.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead projects including, but not limited to physical security system installations/upgrades, new construction/renovation, technology evaluations and upgrades, process improvement studies, and international security support activities.  Selected individual will also support the management of internal service ticketing system process to ensure timely completion of service items and internal service level requirements as it relates to security technology across the enterprise.

Reporting to the Manager, Security Technology & International Security, the Project Manager, Physical Security Technology will prepare, develop, and maintain project plans and schedules to meet all objectives incorporating tracking of activities, risk analysis, and identification and resolution of any scheduling conflicts for any internal or external teams.

What you’ll be doing

•    Execute multiple projects varying in size and complexity on time and within budget through effective communication, preparation and management techniques.

•    Define and document all aspects of the project including initial scope, requirements, design and timelines while managing and communicating any changes throughout the lifecycle of the project.

•    Incorporate the strategic application of TMNA security design standards relating to the physical security of locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico throughout all projects including drafting site drawings of CCTV, access control and other security systems in order to develop a scope of work carried out by contracted security integrator vendors.
•    Develop project budgets, manage changes to project budgets, and track actual costs and variance to the approved budget.
•    Manages issues, risks, and decisions throughout the lifecycle of the project, including the development of required mitigations and countermeasures.
•    Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives.

•    Oversee and coordinate with local security personnel, Information Technology, Real Estate and Facilities, Consultants and Security Integrators and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.

•    Responsible for the health of systems and hardware across various TMNA sites in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Completion of baseline triage of hardware/software failures and submission of service tickets to contracted security integrator vendors.

•    Perform benchmarking of system tools or processes to understand best practices that should be followed or utilized at Toyota.

What you bring

•    Experience leading technology and procedural projects through the entire project lifecycle.

•    Experience with physical security design standards and protocols.
•    Experience with identifying service provider or solutions selection/evaluation process.
•    Experience with large physical security interconnected systems and processes, including complex integrations between multiple 3rd party and internal systems.
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
•    Strong demonstrated process and project management skills.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to executive management.
•    Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with the ability to influence and motivate project team members that report to other groups in the organization.
•    Willingness to travel and respond to customer expectations during regular and after-hours, including weekend and holiday requirem
