WORKING TITLE: GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT II

 

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, FL in Programs and Reentry.

 

The mission of Programs and Reentry at the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to provide comprehensive rehabilitative programs and services that prepare inmates for successful reintegration into society. 

 

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Leadership in Programs and Reentry: Display leadership skills and support the Department's commitment to inmate programming efforts while ensuring compliance with FDC procedures and statewide standards.
  • Project and Financial Management: Manage project status for the bureau of workforce development, monitor and track program expenditures and purchase requests, and assist with maintaining inventory associated with grants.
  • Data and System Maintenance: Maintain inmate program data in FDC databases, bureau SharePoint, and network drives, ensuring accurate program coding, data elements, and file structures.
  • Program Development and Quality Assurance: Assist with developing and maintaining technical instructions, program manuals, and curriculum, review and analyze data for quality assurance, and make recommendations for program improvements and best practices.
  • Coordination and Technical Assistance: Coordinate institutional assets and resources, assist with policy and program implementation recommendations, manage bureau travel and reimbursements, track teacher certifications and vacancies, and monitor public records and constituent information requests.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in administration.
    • Postsecondary education may substitute for up to three years of the required experience.
