To meet students where they are, we will host summer internships in both a virtual and in-person format. Opportunities listed will either be in-person (requiring an intern to work from an NBCU office location 3-5 days per week) based on the location mentioned or virtual, depending on business needs.
In addition to all of our internships being paid, we will also offer the following for our Summer 2023 interns:
- Paid company holidays for full-time interns.
- Robust networking, learning and development opportunities for all interns, whether in-person or virtual.
- Financial assistance to offset expenses for transportation and housing may be available on a needs-based basis for eligible in-person interns. More details about eligibility for this assistance will be provided at the time of offer.
Job Description
Summer 2023 Internship Program:

- Program Dates: June 5 – August 11, 2023
- Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.

The Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) consists of the operations to produce, acquire, market and distribute filmed entertainment worldwide in various media formats for theatrical, home entertainment, television and other distribution platforms. The division operates globally with colleagues spread across 20 countries. We pride ourselves in supporting and amplifying diverse stories told by unique voices. Internships & Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Creative Design: creating various theatrical campaign assets, source new design ideas and pitch them to the team, and produce a variety of artistic styles for each theatrical campaign
- Publicity: preparing for press junkets, researching media outlets & contacts, and compiling coverage reports
- Marketing & Consumer Insights: create social campaigns & strategies, review & analyze consumer data to improve marketing strategies, reporting performance trends, preparing industry update decks and deliverables, develop & design marketing collateral for pitch meetings, participate in brainstorm & strategy meetings
- Digital Marketing: Support team on social activations across Focus Features brand channels and individual film titles, social research, content creation, in-app engagement tactics (ie. Follow accounts/like posts from talent), social editorial calendaring, live social coverage at events
- Global Marketing/Distribution: intern being involved in projects on both the international marketing/creative services & events and publicity & communications sides, exposure to the worldwide distribution side of the entertainment business
- Global Talent Development & Inclusion: Work closely with the Executive Assistants and Coordinators of GTDI in their daily operations including rolling calls, filing and scheduling meetings, creating and posting social media on a weekly basis. Discovering Universal D&I content, writing copy and designing the social media strategy for posts.
