Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Training and Implementation Specialist is responsible for creating, designing, implementing, and continually improving training programs for nurses and other clinicians.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Participates in strategic planning with clinical manager and other administrators to identify trends in clinical area and related future training

•     Conducts training needs analysis to gather information and target future training opportunities. Evaluates current programs for relevance and successful outcomes

•     Designs and develops curricula and clinical education programs for new, existing, and upgraded clinical informatics software, including all education materials, training schedules, exercises and skills evaluations

•     Develops and administers training assessment, analyze results, makes recommendations for training improvement, and integrates changes in curriculum and/or courses

•     Provides research-based findings, expert advise and counsel to internal customers to facilitate ongoing learning and stimulate interest in search of knowledge

•  ��  Coaches and facilitates the professional development and clinical abilities of clinical staff

•     Presents variety of clinical training programs. Conducts train-the-trainer sessions to enable others to teach these programs

•     Under the direction of the nurse manager, identifies and evaluates off-site educational programs including management and skills training for staff. Coordinates, schedules, and documents vendor training

•     Plans and organizes short and long term projects and maintains high quality planning documents

•     Performs other duties as assigned
