The Role

In this role you will be part of a team that is responsible for the architecture, engineering, deployment and maintenance of network technology.  You will also be working with the software development team to plan and support the deployment of software applications.

 

A TS/SCI Poly is required.  

The Main Responsibilities

Engineers are expected to identify and design solutions for issues involving: new features, interoperability, vulnerability, system limits and constraints facing the platforms and products.  In addition, engineers are responsible to evaluate current capabilities and predict future needs, then work with internal stakeholders, vendors and peers to anticipate, define, and pursue these capabilities. 
 
A successful engineer is a strong communicator and relationship builder, who uses soft skills to persuade stakeholders to: achieve consensus, obtain commitment, and take action.  The engineer is a de-facto leader in the organization and is committed to directly mentoring junior engineers and technicians, while consistently demonstrating behaviors aligned with our core values.

•Coordinate activities across multiple departments and business units.

 

What We Look For in a Candidate

Minimum Qualifications :  8+ years professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience, or 6+years with a Master’s Degree.  Experience in several of the following Customer Care Process, Provisioning Network Process, Escalation Process, Direct Customer Interaction, Crisis Management, Production Deployment, Technical Architecture Development, and Requirements Management.  Must have strong analytical, organizational, communication (oral and written), interpersonal, presentation, process-project management and team-work skills.  Flexibility to work on diverse list of projects across multiple technologies.  Strong computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.  Previous experience with the successful implementation of projects or processes

 

•Must have broad technical knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
•Proven experience with network design, configuring and troubleshooting of routed and switched networks, TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN, IPSec, VPN, and Firewalls.
•Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, etc.
•Background in system, network, or security admin/engineering on Unix.
•Active TS clearance with current SSBI/T5R investigation & CI Polygraph.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL
