About the role

Job Description Summary

As Senior Manager Strategy & Operations, you will drive the development and execution of the Sandoz Corporate Affairs strategy, set up corresponding metrics and KPI’s that measure the performance of the team and help the Corporate Affairs in the delivery against the set objectives. In this capacity the Senior Manager Strategy & Operations also serves as the strategic assistant to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Strategy alignment, implementation and governance

  • Lead the strategy planning and alignment process across the Corporate Affairs teams; drive consistent implementation of the Corporate Affairs strategy and tactics agreed

  • Help teams staying focused on their objectives and deliverables; supports plan adjustments where and as appropriate/needed

Strategic Support to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

  • Assist in the creation and execution of comprehensive communication plans, ensuring messages are effectively delivered to priority target groups

  • Support the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer in managing key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior company executives and board members, media, policy makers and industry associations and others, as well as support in the preparation of presentations, reports and meetings

Measurement and Evaluation

  • Help build a set of key performance indicators for the entire Corporate Affairs team based on the objectives agreed for each year and monitor achievement

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • University degree in relevant area (communications, social sciences, economics, business administration) or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Communications functions or agencies; proven track record within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred

  • Solid understanding of how to build and implement communications strategies that drive results, as well as robust experience in tracking and measure communications effectiveness

  • Demonstrated capabilities to manage complex and diverse stakeholder interest, C-suite experience preferred

  • Strong process-orientation, hands-on mentality and execution even under tight conditions

  • Project management skills

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, adapt to changing situations and enable collaboration among team members

  • Proficiency in English (read/ write/ speak) as a must

Desirable Requirements:

  • Proficiency in German (read/ write/ speak) preferred

  • Additional languages welcome
