RP is seeking an International Travel Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiates with hotel operators for premium rates. Where rates are acceptable, make reservations and advise employee of reservations and confirmation number. Develops comprehensive travel itineraries outlining aspects of travel/trip. Amends and revokes travel orders.
- Answers calls and emails promptly from clients who are requesting new travel arrangements or changes to existing itineraries and provide prompt customer service. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; and listens and gets clarification.
- Conducts New Hire Orientation providing technical guidance, direction, assistance and information to new personnel regarding travel related procedures.
- Books and issues airline, hotel, car and other tour reservations through the contracted TMC GDS system, accurately and efficiently.
- Keeps current directory of hotels, motels, and timetables, and answers inquiries concerning routes, fares, and accommodations.
- Checks MCC Travel Log daily to ensure accuracy and that all issued tickets are complete. Communicates effectively with other team members to solve problems and gather information.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with MCC clients.
- Researches complex travel rules and regulations for each MCC client; handles traveler complaints; provides travel expertise to clients;
- Keeps abreast of all ongoing updates in the travel industry and office procedures; and pursues training and development opportunities and strive to continuously build knowledge and skills.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience OR five years of experience Experience and expertise around Fly America Requirements
- Knowledge of the travel program goals, priorities, policies, and commitments of management to provide guidance and assistance to employees concerning travel policies, procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of complex international routing and rates.
- Ability to manage high volume production of travel schedules and documents with tight timelines.
- Effective oral communication skills including the ability to establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers and customers in a timely manner.
- Knowledge and understanding of travel procedures and regulations
- Maintain sufficient knowledge of the latest developments in the travel industry to assist MCC client without delay.
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform.
- Ability to interact skillfully and diplomatically with counterparts, both domestically and internationally. Ability to solve problem, resolve conflict, anticipate needs and follow through.
- Good judgment and the ability to work independently, but also as a team player, demonstrate strong initiative and energy, as well as a cooperative spirit.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as travel rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- The ability to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship
