You are part of a global dynamic chemical consulting team. Fast-paced, with ever-expanding new ways of creating and advising chemical producers, governments, financial institutions, and technology providers operating at any point along the chemical value chain, from commodity to specialty chemicals. Responsibilities and Impact:
The Director will be responsible for converting his or her experience, knowledge, insights, and analysis along with S&P Global knowledge base into sustainable, profitable S&P services. Marketing S&P Global’s expertise and himself/herself as an expert with professionalism is essential to this role. The Director should also endeavor to build and nourish relationships with key industry contacts that utilize or could benefit from S&P Global services. The Director must be able to work autonomously in the negotiation and execution of consulting engagements.

- Maintain general knowledge of petrochemical market (Olefins, Aromatics, Plastics, Synthetic Fibers and Specialties) for interaction with clients.
- Develop opportunities for single-client engagements through typical relationship development and marketing activities. Cross-sell other S&P global products.
- Execute single client proposals. Sell and negotiate closure of proposals. This requires clear written and verbal communications skills and analytical creativity to determine deliverables that best serves client needs and budget and maximize the opportunity and return for S&P global.
- Project management responsibilities require that the consultant manage the analysis and report generation required to satisfy single client projects. Required to lead project teams and to independently complete analysis and reports if needed.
- Ensure that projects under his/her direction are properly invoiced and fees are collected. Maintain a detailed working knowledge of the basic S&P global databases and tools.
- Be able to manipulate models or extract information from models to satisfy unique single client requests.
- Market S&P global products and services via direct and indirect client contact.
- Actively pursue and develop unique analytical approaches that provide value to S&P Global clients and/or potential clients.
- Maintain awareness of client activity so that conflicts of interest or the perception of conflicts of interests can be avoided.
- Be able to summarize report into presentation format and deliver presentation to client.
- Mentor and guide analytical and staff support in a team environment.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $143,244 to $185,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Eighteen (18) or more years of relevant chemical industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, technical preferred. MBA a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proficient public speaker.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Good knowledge of consulting methodologies and processes.
- High level contacts in the petrochemical industry
