Position Specific Description
Our Power Delivery Business Unit is looking for a Field Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you will support initial project implementation for fiber construction on the West Coast area based in one of several offices throughout the area. This role will primarily be field based with responsibility for project management and construction crew oversight.
Key Requirements
• Knowledge of fiber restoration and field construction
• Knowledge of turn up and isolation of troubles on Nokia fiber optic equipment
• Contractor supervisor experience
• Fiber and telecommunications field experience
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Job Overview
This job is responsible for providing technical direction on business unit projects and/or project participants. Employees in this role plan, coordinate, and complete large-scale or several medium or small, complex or long term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicates with internal and external customers
- Updates internal/external customers on project progress
- Prepares and processes of required agreements
- Monitors and recommends changes for improvement
- Meets attendance and storm duty requirements
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad/ GED
- Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 5+ years
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Master’s - Engineering
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
