Enterprise Architect

Job Description

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring enterprise technology strategies, architectures, plans/roadmaps, and governance are collectively aligned and executed to enable ATPCO to deliver its mission, strategy, goals, and objectives and achieve its intended business outcomes. To accomplish this, the position will both lead and work collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders across the enterprise.

You Will:

• Work collaboratively across the ATPCO Architecture group, Engineering, and Service Support teams to advise and consult on current state and emerging technical capabilities to optimize solution delivery
• Define “architecture guardrails” (e.g., principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns) and support technology governance processes to guide solutions across different domains
• Formulate high level estimates for end-to-end solutions to support blue sky analyses, release planning, and impact assessments with clear justification
• Work closely with other ATPCO product engineering functions to align on consistent vision, approach, and methods to provide a cohesive and comprehensive technical solution to the organization
• Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) to identify gaps and determine the corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the broader enterprise roadmap
• Strike the right balance between lending expertise and providing an inclusive environment where others’ ideas can be heard and championed; leverage expertise to grow skills in the broader ATPCO team
• Operate as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform, or capability domain, helping to shape use cases and implementation in a unified manner

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with designing complex scalable, distributed systems and high-volume transaction applications with a deep focus on operational reliability, flexibility/scalability, security, time-to-market, and cost efficiency
• Knowledge of one or more domain areas of enterprise architecture, data architecture, and design patterns with proven experience in establishing strategic architectural direction
• Familiarity with working on real-time data and streaming applications using different AWS services and open-source technologies
• Demonstrated experience translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive technology strategies and solutions that deliver business outcomes
• Ability to establish and mature Enterprise Architecture planning and governance methods and practices
• Experience developing in one or more - Python, Java, or Scala, C, C++, Rust, Golang
• Knowledge of different software development methodologies such as agile, lean, scrum, and test-driven development
• Familiarity with the airline industry and awareness of key trends is a plus
• Master’s in computer science, IT systems management, or similar is preferred
