The Role:
Provide a high standard of Food Service to hospital patients, staff and patrons of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH)In accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines, assist with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital.
- Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.

The Team:
- A fast paced work environment within a great team
- LGH Food Services provides meals to over 300 patients daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) 365 days a year
- Shift work with early morning starts, including a combination of weekdays and weekends
Details of appointment:
- Multiple Permanent full time and part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
- Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $57,130 - $62,486 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
