IT Intern/Specialist - Part or Full-Time - Student or Postgraduate (Tampa, FL)

DGR Systems, a growing premier technology consulting company, is looking for an IT Intern or IT Specialist with basic experience in Microsoft Technologies to join our highly competent team. These individual supports client projects focused on the installation, configuration, and problem resolution of various IT systems and applications. Additionally, this individual is accountable for providing outstanding customer service and technical support to both internal staff and our clients. This position requires an individual that is highly motivated, eager to learn, client-oriented, and has the desire to improve their communication skills and understanding of the technology landscape.

This position requires a current Computer Science/Information Technology student or recent graduate that is highly motivated, has a knowledge of IT systems and applications, is client-focused, and has excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Researching, creating a proof of concept, developing procedures, and assisting others in implementing emerging technologies
• IT initiatives including cyber security training, infrastructure upgrades/migrations, data restructuring, document controls, network reliability testing, office opening IT support, monthly reporting, asset management, hardware purchasing, software license management and renewals, and more
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs and peripherals
• Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades
• Provide desktop and software end-user support to troubleshoot and resolve device issues
• Assist with developing and maintaining end-user, and internal IT documentation by documenting common support questions and answers
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active Student or a recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Cyber Security Program, or another related field of study
• Individual full of passion for technology which is evident through approach and attitude
• Demonstrated level of accountability and ownership of tasks by having a history of experiences where initiatives were taken to move outcomes forward and/or make something better
• Intrinsic need to manage self with principles and honesty
• Ability to navigate problems by a history of evolving, adapting, and embracing change in personal, classroom, or professional setting
