We are seeking a critical Senior Manager, Finance Site leader of the Power Transmission Systems business supporting the Environmental & Airframe Controls Systems (EACS) finance team within Power & Controls. Power Transmission Systems is a leading international supplier of aerospace services, systems and components. We produce flexible shafts and couplings for aircraft, marine and industrial power transmission applications.

This role will report directly to the CFO of the EACS business unit and be responsible for a team of 5. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, analyze financial indicators and recommend processes to support the business plans of the organization and execution of the financial plan.

Also critical to provide technical expertise and be a business partner to the leadership team.

Preferably this candidate would work fully on-site in Rome, NY; however, a hybrid schedule will be considered. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. 

What You Will Do

• Key financial adviser to GM on all matters strategic and tactical
• Executes financial activities, including cost reduction strategies, earned value management while supporting general and administrative accounting initiatives and budget and policy processes
• Responsible for month end closing
• Responsible for ensuring world class controls environment
• Evaluates and recommends processes or standards to support business plans of the organization
• Oversees the analysis of the organization’s revenues, liabilities, assets, and other financial indicators to forecast the short, medium, and long-term performance
• Develops and manages  relationships with external financial consultants and advisors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
• Advises and provides technical expertise to functional or operational area managers on financial issues to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities
• Manages major responsibilities across multiple finance disciplines on a regular basis
• Performs finance activities that cannot be attributed to a defined discipline
• Leader of four direct reports

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

Qualifications We Prefer

• ERP Experience – SAP Preferred
• HFM Experience
• Experience with reporting and analytics
• Familiar with concepts of cost accounting & standard costing
• Experience with one or more cost accounting systems
• Experience with month end close
• Leadership Experience
