The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

The position is within the Global Markets Risk and Controls – Regulatory Risk and Surveillance team.

The Individual will:

  • Provide direct support of the Global Markets business to monitor and mitigate regulatory risk for swaps and derivatives products.  The position requires significant interaction with front office, including responding to ad-hoc inquiries from the trading desk to investigating regulatory exceptions. 
  • Assist in the design and execution of new/existing processes and controls to detect non-compliance issues owned by front office. 
  • Prepare responses to inquiries and document requests from external regulators and internal stakeholders e.g. Compliance testing and Audit.  Support corrective action planning and issue remediation, as required.
  • Assist in the creation, analysis and reporting of risk metrics and monitoring results to senior management.
  • Recordkeeping:
    • Support compliance with CFTC Swap Dealer recordkeeping requirements by conducting reviews of archived records to ensure they are searchable and retrievable by counterparty. 
    • Ensure effectiveness and ongoing integrity of Global Markets recordkeeping environment by conducting daily review of reconciliation reports.  The individual will be required to identify recordkeeping ingestion issues and partnering with technology teams to remediate.

 We Require:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a finance, economics or business related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry or consulting firm
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc., is required.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to meet critical deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Derivative products as well as knowledge of and sales and trading functions

The typical base pay range for this role is between $88K - $111K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
