Department Overview
Enterprise Business Processes is a cross-functional organization that is leading PG&E’s Propel program, a major business and technology modernization program to unlock customer value by simplifying the way we work together. Propel will migrate PG&E to the new version of SAP, S/4HANA, seizing this unique opportunity for PG&E to standardize business processes, clean the technology core, and enable innovation for breakthrough change across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Through a phased approach, Propel will implement process standardization, operating model changes, data improvements, SAP, and other technology applications with a focus on incrementally improving business capabilities and delivering value.
Enterprise Business Processes is comprised of multi-disciplinary coworkers with deep functional and industry expertise to design and implement end-to-end business processes and technology solutions following industry leading practices. The team partners closely with IT and external partners to work collaboratively with many stakeholders to adopt standard processes and maximize use of out-of-the-box proven technology solutions to meet business needs. Position Summary
The Project Management Office (PMO) Director, PMO Business Delivery Lead, will oversee and execute the Propel Program Plan to ensure alignment with strategic business goals. The successful candidate will be paired with the IT Delivery Lead and the Systems Integrator (an external implementation partner) to develop, manage, and execute the scope, schedule, and budget, on time and in accordance with PG&E quality and governance standards.
The successful candidate for this high-profile position will lead PMO activities in support of the work performed by the Business and IT Solution Delivery team, as well as Change Management and Value Management teams. This individual must have strategic leadership and management experience and a proven track record for PMO delivery, particularly for large enterprise transformation projects in utility operations or comparable sectors. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, a strategic thinker, a problem-solver, and a tactical implementer of complex work plans on scope, schedule and budget. In addition, the successful candidate takes great pride to support the team and proactively anticipates and removes roadblocks to execution. The individual is highly collaborative; organized with great attention to quality and detail; has a can-do attitude; is able to see the big picture and drive strategic and tactical actions to ensure outcomes and goals are achieved.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland Headquarter office based on business needs.
Reporting Relationship
The Director, PMO Business Delivery Lead will report into the Vice President, Enterprise Business Processes.
Job Responsibilities
PMO Delivery Leadership: Hold leadership responsibility for Enterprise Design and four deployment releases (2025-2030) for PG&E’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation program to migrate from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. Collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders define the scope, solution design, deployment plan, and business case. Understand the value drivers of the business and ensure IT solutions deliver the targeted value.
