Position Summary
This Principal Automation Engineer position will be responsible for leading the engineering team and providing technical expertise to the organization. This hands-on principal-level technical engineer will develop and implement engineered software solutions for the organization, manage technical projects, and participate and oversee the design, development, and implementation of both software and hardware engineered solutions.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Design, develop and implement material handling & automation engineering solutions
- Lead and manage technical projects from conception to completion
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
- Analyze engineering challenges and develop solutions
- Monitor and assess the performance of the engineering team
- Research and recommend new technologies, processes, and procedures
- Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.
- Display dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.
- Always represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance.
- Understand and internalize the Company’s purpose,
- Display loyalty to the Company and its organizational values.

- Ensure conduct is consistent with all Compliance Program Policies and procedures when engaging in any activity on behalf of the company. Immediately report any concerns or violations.

Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the automation and application development process
- Proven ability to share technical expertise and guide the engineering team
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
- Analyze engineering challenges and develop solutions
- Strong knowledge and ability to research and recommend new technologies, processes, and procedures
Required Experience:
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience [fourteen (14) years for non-degreed candidates] in engineering or related field
- Experience with GoLang
- Experience with PLC
- Experience with conveyor systems
- Experience implementing engineering solutions<
