What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for an experienced Test System Technician to join our Testing team in Canton, MI, participating in the assembly, and some aspects of the design and support, of test systems for the wide portfolio of products that Yazaki produces including intelligent junction boxes, DC/DC converters, AC/DC converters, and battery busbar modules for both high and low voltage electrical systems.

What you will be doing:
- Building, assembling, verifying, and documenting test system components such as: PCBAs, wiring, load boxes, system interconnections etc.
- Assembling test system hardware into integrated systems
- Working with Test System Engineers on the design of test system wiring, load boxes, system interconnections, etc.
- Providing on-going support and maintenance for test systems.
- Maintaining the lab in a tidy and efficient state. Ordering lab supplies and components as required.
What you will bring to the table:
- Relevant associate degree (Engineering or Physics preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience (all working on hardware as complex as test systems)
- Experience designing, developing, reading and following wiring diagrams and schematics. The ability to design system wiring and load boxes and document them in programs like ORCAD, DxDesigner, or Visio is desirable.
- Experience assembling and soldering through-hole and surface mount PCBAs. Familiarity with tools and methods associated with PCB assembly such as: soldering iron, mini-wave, hot-air reflow, solder paste application, working from BOMs etc. Testing, troubleshooting, and verifying such assemblies.
- Experience assembling, wiring, and soldering: automotive components, load boxes, and harnesses or systems of a similar complexity. Testing, troubleshooting, and verifying such assemblies.
- Knowledge of industry standard connectors, components, and crimping/soldering terminals.
