Sales Support Manager
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
The Sales Support Manager is responsible for management and work execution involving the customer service team, demand planner, and local procurement teams. Special attention to inventory management and parts ordering processes within the North America service centers.
REPORTING TO:
Services Manager, North America
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Business Growth and Functional
- Management of customer service team, supporting all parts supply and fulfillment of sales orders
- Inventory control, planning, and adjustment to meet supply and demand, in accordance with fleet quantity and materials aging
- Management of local purchasing efforts aligned with the business plan to match inventory requirements
- Management of an e-commerce platform supporting order intake
- Pricing analysis and updating in accordance with market and global requirements
- Forecasting aligned with expected order intake and historical spend
- Participate in inventory valuation – Approval of current unsold stock levels in North America.
- Management of local equipment spare parts lists, assisting in managing both customer and internal inventory levels.
- Optimal inventory levels, calculations of expected lead time vs inventory on hand vs expected demand.

Oversight of materials analysis
- On-time delivery
- Order fulfillment rate
- Number of inventory turns
- Obsolete inventory (write-off considerations)
- Oversight of backlog reporting to customers – work with global purchasing along with local purchasing. Find the best sourcing options available in the event of an extensive delay. Responsible for checking shipments going in and out of the company and ensuring that all orders are delivered correctly.
- Evaluate input from the Sales Team and Normet Customers regarding inventories within North America and the customer sites.
- Managing supersessions of parts and oversight of component exchange program.
Financials
- Order intake forecast against actual
- FTE actual cost vs forecast, optimization for the best utilization of resources
Stakeholder Management
- Customer-focused to positively support the growth of Normet.
- Customers include both internal and external stakeholders
- A proven ability to conduct work professionally.
People and Team Management
- Active role in the development of the team, maintaining a high quality and respectable service organization in the sales area.
HSEQ – Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
- Complies with all Normet policies with HSEQ and ensures compliance with team members.
- Active participant in ensuring Normet operations and products supporting HSEQ initiatives.
- Provide support for risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and be responsible for reporting/improvements where needed.
- Ability to support the creation and updating of HSEQ documentation where applicable.
Personal Responsibility
- Ensures compliance to Normet Values, & Normet Policies and Procedures.
- Continuous improvement journey with behaviors supporting improved product knowledge, learning and development, and competency training.
- Retain existing industry certifications, and where applicable acquire updates and advancement.
- Active contributor and team member in both the sales and service teams, in North America.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 5 year’s experience in supply chain management.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or business development.
- Capacity to operate in a demanding environment with competing priorities.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- An elevated level of responsiveness, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail orientation, financial acumen, managing local and remote teams, strong command of productivity ERP and data entry software.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication.
- Budget/forecasting financial management skills.
