Junior Java Developer

This is a remote position.

Location:  Remote – Colombia time zone Language:  Spanish (internal communication), English not required Contract Type:  1-year services contract Final Client:  Leading company in the security and technology services industry (Argentina)

Role Description

We are looking for a Junior (advanced) Java Developer  with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience to join Aztia and support the development and maintenance of corporate web portals for a major company in the security and technology services sector in Argentina.

The selected developer will work on enhancements, adjustments, and new features across the client’s portals built on Magnolia CMS , as well as contribute to backend components developed in Java . The role requires solid technical foundations, willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate within distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features and improvements on existing portals developed with Magnolia CMS .
• Develop and maintain backend components using Java .
• Integrate with internal APIs and services as required.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and stability through best development practices.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams located in different countries.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

Working Conditions

• Services contract through Aztia LLC.
• Initial contract duration: 1 year .
• Work schedule: Aligned with Colombia’s working hours , with occasional adjustments according to client needs.(Client in Argentina)
• 100% remote role.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years  of professional experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of Java  (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
• Experience with HTML , CSS , and basic knowledge of TypeScript  (framework not required).
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently within a distributed team.

Nice to Have

• Experience or familiarity with Magnolia CMS  (or other enterprise-grade Java-based CMS platforms).
• Understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Basic experience with Git  for version control.
