Job Description
This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior accounting professional to become the dedicated financial backbone of a complex real estate and private equity operation. You’ll serve as the critical bridge between executive leadership and external accounting teams, ensuring seamless financial operations across multiple business entities. Working directly with sophisticated real estate transactions, capital management, and development projects, you’ll have the autonomy to implement best practices while supporting strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive accounts payable and receivable operations across multiple company entities
- Process invoices and coordinate payments for all business divisions with precision and timeliness
- Prepare detailed financial reports and statements for the main company and three subsidiary operations
- Serve as the strategic liaison between the CFO and external accounting teams, ensuring nothing falls through operational gaps
- Maintain accurate and organized records in QuickBooks Online for all company divisions
- Support high-value capital raising activities with professional financial documentation and reporting
- Oversee accounting operations for complex real estate development projects and asset management portfolios
- Ensure full compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting certification required
- Extensive hands-on experience with Canadian accounting systems, regulations, and best practices
- Minimum 5+ years of senior-level experience in complex, multi-entity business environments
- Proven background in private equity, asset management, or real estate development strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online and modern accounting software platforms
- Deep understanding of multi-entity accounting structures and consolidation processes
- Exceptional ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with cross-functional teams
- Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
