Senior Analyst Reporting (m/f/d)

Location: Munich, Germany; Berlin, Germany; remote, England; remote, Germany; remote, France; remote, Spain

As a Senior Analyst at BESTSECRET, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall company strategy within the Supply Business Unit, which oversees sourcing, procurement and in‐season trading of all products. Your role will be to develop and maintain reports that enable the organization to make better and faster buying decisions. This role will demand analytical excellence, technical proficiency, and adaptability to the dynamic environment of our expanding international business. Flexibility, collaboration, and a commercial mindset will be crucial for success in this position.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the PowerBI reporting landscape for performance analysis, used by the management and the Buying and Merchandising teams.

• Collaborate closely with the Buying and Merchandise team to define additional reporting needs and requirements.

• Define and implement new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor the health and performance of the Supply Business unit.

• Develop close partnerships with the Business Intelligence/Data Science team and the Tech team to implement innovative reporting solutions.

• Proactively train departments on the effective usage of reporting solutions.

• Independently identify and lead projects that positively contribute to the business, fostering growth and innovation.

Your Profile:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role focused on reporting and/or analytics, preferably within a retail buying environment.

• A university degree in a related field.

• Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, Excel, SQL, Python and other related reporting/data solutions (e.g., Looker, Starburst, Microsoft Fabric). Profound experience in building reporting solutions.

• Excellent analytical skills combined with a deep business understanding, with the ability to resolve business challenges through effective reporting.

• Solid comprehension of buying and merchandise planning methodologies in a retail context.

• A stakeholder-oriented mindset with a proven track record of effectively implementing solutions in a large organization. 
• Highly proactive, independent, and capable of driving initiatives to completion.

• Fluency in both written and spoken business English.
