RRC is seeking a highly skilled IT Service Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves managing servers, networking, cloud environments, and enterprise applications while troubleshooting and optimizing system performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in systems administration, networking, and IT operations with a focus on automation, security, and best practices.

Duties/Responsibilities

Systems Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, Scale Computing and Hyper-V virtualization platforms, and Azure cloud environment. Experience in Domain Controller management and On premises AD and Azure AD.

Networking & Security: Configure and maintain Highly Available Fortinet firewalls, Forti-Switches and Forti-Access Points. Knowledge of SSLVPNs tunnels and network security protocols to ensure a secure and reliable IT infrastructure.

Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Implement system monitoring tools (SolarWinds and Uptime) and troubleshoot performance issues.

Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible to streamline system operations and deployments.

Backup & Disaster Recovery: Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity. (Veeam experience preferred)

User & Access Management: Administer Active Directory, Domain Controller Management and Upgrades, Group Policies, and identity management solutions to ensure secure access control in On Prem and Azure AD.

IT Operations Support: Collaborate with IT support teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Compliance & Security Best Practices: Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with industry standards, security policies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain detailed system documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practice guidelines.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, infrastructure, or systems administration.

Strong expertise in Windows system administration.

Experience managing enterprise networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.

Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure).

Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (Scale Computing, Hyper-V, VMware).

Experience with monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical
