Job Description

Essential Functions

·        Knowledgeable and able to perform tasks utilizing ITW Toolbox Philosophies

·        Ability to work as part of a fast-paced, shared risk, positive culture team driving continuous improvement in all areas of daily work (Qualification)

·        Coordination with other shift leads and Production Supervisors to develop, share, and implement best practices

·        Contributes to the attainment of shift/Plant metrics and drives continuous improvement activities

·        Assist/Lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action initiatives

·        Participate in Layered Process Audits

·        Ensures all quality documents are completed

·        Monitors production employee’s daily activities with a focus on PPMH improvement

·        Assists with the development, implementation, and improvement of Market Rate of Demand (MRD) scheduling

·        Assists with the development, improvement, and conformance of operator designated maintenance and housekeeping activities

·        Assists with the development, mentorship, and training of production employees

·        Ability to hold employees accountable to safety, quality, environmental, and production metrics

·        Instructs and directs activities of workers in production ensuring setups are completed accurately and timely.

·        Ensures all quality and safety documentation is completed.

·        Trains employees on proper equipment operation.

·        Assists with the monitoring of attendance and maintaining workforce scheduling.

·        Assures compliance to safe work practices and all safety precautions are taken with the department.

·        Assist Supervisor and Materials team in scheduling production.

·        Recommends procedures and practices to improve the department production, equipment, quality, housekeeping, safety, and environmental practices.

·        Participate on Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action teams.

·        Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

·        3+ years' experience operating thread rolling machines preferred.

·        Continuous improvement mindset.

·        Strong leadership and communication skills.

·        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

·        Ability to complete routine production and quality reports.

·        Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

·        Understanding and compliance with safety rules and regulations

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills
