Informatrics Pharmacist - Pharmacy Full Time 7070

In order to provide highly reliable and effective pharmacy management across the continuum of care, the pharmacy informatics resource will focus on medication-related data and knowledge, including its acquisition, storage, analysis, use and dissemination for the delivery of optimal medication-related patient care and health outcomes.  The primary responsibilities of the pharmacy informaticist includes medication centric decision-making helping to create safe workflows across the organization, collaborative delivery with pharmacy clinical analyst informatics team sharing knowledge of best practice pharmacy processes to ultimately create a highly reliable healthcare system, departmental training of clinical workflows and their ties to information technology, liaise with the information technology department on new implementations, upgrades, and system changes, liaise with information technology providing key details needed for appropriate medication billing, and develop and maintain any needed analytical pharmacy centric dashboards. 

 

The pharmacy informaticist role exists to help transform health care by analyzing, designing, driving, and helping evaluate pharmacy information and communication systems to improve patient care, enhance access to medication centric care, advance individual, and population health outcomes, and strengthen the clinician-patient relationship.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Degree from approved College of Pharmacy. Should be registered or eligible for registration in

this state. Membership in professional associations is desirable.

 

Experience:

Should possess thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of pharmacy.  Hospital pharmacy

experience is required, but On-the-job training is provided since many tasks and methods are

indigenous to hospital pharmacy.

 

Certifications/Skills:

Advanced computer skills. Able to work under stress and have a high level of personal

and professional ethics and conduct.
