At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression.  We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat.  Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

The Raytheon Test Solutions Center is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for Test.

What You Will Do

The Senior Electrical Engineer is a seasoned professional contributor responsible for the execution, sustainment, and continuous improvement of complex test solutions supporting production and development programs. This multi-faceted role requires the ability to work autonomously with limited oversight, manage small but high-impact projects, and influence internal and external stakeholders regarding technical execution, supplier performance, and operational practices.

This role also requires designing electrical test solutions for digital and RF tests across a wide variety of deliverable products.

The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced technical judgment, ownership of cost/schedule/technical outcomes, and the ability to coach and support less-experienced engineers while operating across organizational and supplier boundaries.

  • Independently execute electrical engineering tasks supporting automated and semi-automated test systems for RF, digital, and mixed-signal hardware, resolving difficult and sometimes complex technical problems.

  • Lead /manage discrete projects or processes within Test Solutions, including test fixture development, test software releases, supplier-driven initiatives, and sustainment activities.

  • Collaborate closely with design engineering to clarify, refine, and improve test requirement specifications (TRS), ensuring testability, compliance, and executable solutions across multiple UUTs.

  • Interface directly with suppliers to drive technical execution, resolve schedule or quality issues, and implement process improvements that enhance program performance and partner relationships.

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead supplier engagements such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), CORE events, and action item reviews to influence operational practices and improve outcomes.

  • Support program cost and schedule objectives through participation in EVMS activities, including Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities for initiatives or budgets.

  • Drive measurable operational improvements such as increased First Pass Yield (FPY), reduced rework and retest, schedule recovery, and cost avoidance.

  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to lower-level engineers, including coaching during formal training and on-the-job execution.

  • Communicate effectively with leadership, SMEs, Tech Fellows, operations, and external partners to align priorities, elevate risks, and implement solutions.

  • Support classified programs, information system compliance, audits, and secure data transfers in accordance with RTX policies and procedures.
