We are a global supplier of electrical and electronic safety components, traction power systems, and solutions for rail, energy, and industrial applications, with more than 1,200 employees worldwide.</p><p>-----------------------------------------------</p><p>We’re looking for a <strong>hands-on PLC Software Engineer</strong> who enjoys working close to real technology — turning electrical designs into functional automation systems and bringing them to life in the field. </p><p>You’ll work with <strong>PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and real industrial equipment, not just code.</strong> From configuration and programming to testing and commissioning, you’ll be part of the full lifecycle of our solutions used in railway and energy systems. </p><p>You will also be part of an international team, collaborating on customer-specific adaptations and implementations. The role includes regular business travel of approximately two weeks per month, primarily within Germany and Switzerland. </p><p>-----------------------------------------------<br /></p><p>What you’ll be doing :</p><ul><li>Programming and configuring <strong>PLC systems</strong> (focus on logic rather than heavy coding) </li></ul><ul><li>Translating <strong>electrical schematics into program logic </strong></li></ul><ul><li>Creating and adjusting <strong>basic HMI interfaces </strong>(operator touch panels) </li></ul><ul><li>Performing simulations, testing, and debugging </li></ul><ul><li>Providing <strong>test support</strong>, including setup and troubleshooting (PLC/HMI diagnostics, network components, software adjustments) </li></ul><ul><li>Supporting commissioning, both in-house and at customer sites </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborating with commissioning engineers and the wider team </li></ul><ul><li>Adapting solutions based on <strong>customer requirements </strong></li></ul><ul><li>Designing, testing and adjusting communication protocols of Sécheron systems and their integration into customers SCADA systems (no deep SCADA expertise required) </li></ul><p></p>
