This role is well-suited to an ambitious professional looking for the next step in their career. You will lead the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program and have responsibility for supporting and maintaining regulatory compliance, along with EHS ISO certification through the businesses existing SHS DX EHS Management System. The successful candidate will foster and influence a healthy and safe business culture with EHS integrated into all site activities to maintain regulatory compliance, identify and mitigate risk, engage our employees, and drive continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Leads the site EHS program under the direction of the Regional EHS Leader and acts as a backup resource when needed.
Manages site EHS team as applicable by delegating responsibility, developing a cohesive and competent team, and ensuring professional development.
Acts as a change-agent, influencing site employees at all levels from frontline employees to senior leadership to drive EHS performance and lead the site to a world-class EHS program.
Drives compliance as a subject matter expert in applicable environmental, health & safety regulatory standards at the local and national level.
Creates collaboration with site leadership and employees to spread EHS accountability & ownership.
Identifies, analyzes, and tracks new and emerging applicable EHS compliance standards.
Facilitates strategic interventions to identify and mitigate risks related to compliance and/or work-related injuries/illnesses.
Prepares/ensures the preparation and submission of all applicable compliance reports/permits to the relevant stakeholders.
Partners with site to execute incident management (good observation, near miss, injury/illness, environmental) and successfully identify root cause(s) & contributing factors, assign corrective & preventative actions, and track actions to closure to prevent reoccurrence.
Drives injury/illness prevention through risk assessment, auditing (equipment, process, behavior), corrective action, and rigorous implementation of site EHS programs.
Reviews and/or ensure the review of EHS documentation and procedures, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on compliance related issues, and performing compliance audits.
Actively participates in Diagnostics EHS and Siemens Healthineers EHS teams through execution of strategic programming, KPI measurement & monitoring, best practice sharing and continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborates with the Siemens Healthineers Corporate Sustainability Team to measure, monitor, and mitigate environmental impacts to achieve sustainability targets and fulfill corporate reporting requirements.
Champions the site’s Environmental Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS) to comply with Siemens Healthineers EHSMS standards and maintain certification in ISO 14001 & 45001 by leading certifying body audits and internal audits as scheduled.
Executes team engagement activities, including frequent shop/lab floor presence and employee communications, implementation of hazard identification programming, and site EHS committees.
Oversees and continually improves all EHS related employee training programs, including new hire training, refresher training, and in-person competency training for high-risk programs.
The successful candidate will spend a significant percentage of time in the physical work environment to ensure visibility, partnership, and dynamic evaluation of risks.

Qualifications:
Diploma of EHS Qualification (ex. bachelor’s degree in environmental, occupational safety, health science, or a closely related discipline) or equivalency through years of EHS experience.
8-12 years of EHS experience, preference given to a manufacturing setting.
Previous leadership experience working within a manufacturing plant and/or R&D environment.
EHS Management System experience; knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.
